Dear Diary,
At this time in my life, I feel conflicted about asking for birthday and even Christmas gifts.
I already have everything I could ever want.
And sure, there are things that catch my eye.
But now, should I receive a gift from someone, it's born out of pure thoughtfulness. Something to say, hey I saw this and thought of you. I'm finding that those kinds of gifts hold more sentimental value than any ideas I may have.
When I turned 35, my children picked out a bouquet of flowers.
The might as well have been dipped in gold. They were beautiful.
